Will Ferrell and Ramy Youssef to Co-Create and Star in Netflix Comedy Series ‘Golf’

Will Ferrell and Ramy Youssef will co-create and star in “Golf,” a comedy series set at Netflix. Josh Rabinowitz also serves as co-creator.

Ferrell will play a fictional golf legend in the 10-episode series. Details regarding Youssef’s character are not yet known.

Youssef and Rabinowitz serve as showrunners, and executive produce alongside Ferrell, Jessica Elbaum and Alix Taylor for Gloria Sanchez Productions; Rian Johnson, Ram Bergman and Nena Rodrigue for T-Street; and Andy Campagna for Youssef’s Cairo Cowboy.

Ferrell is best known for his sevens seasons as a “Saturday Night Live” cast member and starring in films such as “Elf,” “Anchorman,” “Talladega Nights” and “Step Brothers,” having co-written the last three titles with Adam McKay. More recently, he has appeared in “Barbie,” “The Shrink Next Door” and “Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga.” Ferrell’s credits as a producer include “Succession,” “May December,” “The Menu,” “Booksmart” and more. Up next, he will be seen opposite Reese Witherspoon in the Amazon Prime Video comedy film “You’re Cordially Invited.” He is repped by UTA, Mosaic, The Lede Company and Jackoway Austen Tyerman.

Rabinowitz has written for “Broad City” on Comedy Central and “The Carmichael Show” on Hulu. He also co-executive produces “Ramy” and co-wrote the Ilana Glazer-led film “Babes,” which premieres May 17. The news came ahead of Netflix first-ever presentation at upfronts, following the streamer’s 2023 addition of an ad-supported tier.
