A Texas pup is breathing easy again after getting her head stuck in a bowl.

According to KHOU 11, the Manvel Police Department, the mayor of Manvel, and concerned citizens of Brazoria County, Texas, started searching for the stuck dog on July 16 after learning that the Lab mix's face was confined in a plastic bowl that prevented her from eating and drinking.

A July 16 Facebook post from the Manvel Police Department on Tuesday, July 16, shared that the agency's officers "were unable to locate the dog" after an initial search that included the use of drones.

Manvel Mayor Dan Davis left a comment under the police department's Facebook post providing further context.

"The team from the PD was out there earlier with members of the community," he wrote. "They darted him, but he ran off into the woods, and they weren't able to locate him with drones. Myself and others -

have done searching and weren't able to find him and others are organizing another round of searches."

The dog's reluctance to get close to others made trying to rescue the dog and free her from the bowl challenging.

Thankfully, the animal lovers searching for the confined canine had better luck the following day.

On July 17, the Manvel Police Department shared the excellent news that searchers had found and captured the dog so the canine could get help.

"She has been captured and is en route to the vet!" the authorities wrote. "Thank you to our animal control, local citizens, and rescue groups for all the help capturing her."
