Taylor Swift always spends Mother’s Day with her mom — even when she’s in the middle of a record-breaking world tour!
A verified account on X (formerly Twitter), @SwiffterUpdates, posted a photo of Andrea Swift, 66, standing in a suite to watch her daughter perform at La Défense Arena in Paris on Sunday, May 12.
While Taylor, 34, didn’t perform “The Best Day,” a song about their mother-daughter relationship, as it’s not on the 46-song Eras Tour setlist, Taylor did perform a touching song dear to Andrea’s heart: “Marjorie.”
“Marjorie,” which Taylor performs every show during the Evermore era, is a song about Andrea’s mom, whose vocals are even featured on the ballad.
Andrea was among Taylor's loved ones at the show, including her boyfriend Travis Kelce and her friends Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper.
Taylor performed two songs about Kelce at this show: “So High School” for the first time in front of him during The Tortured Poets -
Department era and “The Alchemy” during the acoustic surprise songs portion.
The mother-daughter duo has a close relationship. Taylor famously wrote “The Best Day” from Fearless (Taylor's Version) about Andrea, and “Soon You'll Get Better” off of 2019's Lover is about her mom's cancer diagnosis.
Andrea has been seen at many past Eras tour shows and is often by her daughter's side for important moments in her career, including cheering her daughter on at Taylor Swift: The Eras Tourpremierein Los Angeles in October 2023.
