Gordon Ramsay is back on his bike!

On Sunday, July 14, the MasterChef star, 57, shared videos on Instagram of him riding a bike while joined by his 5-year-old son Oscar. His return on the bike comes nearly one after injuring himself in a cycling accident in June.

“So nice to be back on the bike thank you,” Ramsay wrote in the caption. He tagged the indoor cycling company Zwift for his practice beforehand during "recovery."

In the first video, Ramsay filmed himself riding alongside a riverbank. He then panned the camera across the road as he asked, “Where is he?” Oscar then appeared, cycling up next to him on a blue bike wearing a helmet.

“There he is!” exclaimed Ramsay. “You are doing so well by the way,” he said to Oscar.

The restaurateur then went through a safety checklist with his son as he asked him, “Helmet’s on, gears are intact, yes?” Oscar responded, “Yes!” Ramsay then asked, “Eyes on the road, yes?” Oscar called back, “Yes!”

“Good boy … off he goes,” Ramsay said, turning the camera on himself. “So nice to be back on the bike,” he said as Oscar whizzed past him.

As his five-year-old kept cycling along, Ramsay made a joke and alluded to his eldest daughter, Megan, 26, who's a police officer.

“Slow down you’ll get caught speeding by the police,” Ramsay quipped to Oscar. “Please do not get caught speeding. Your sister is not going to be impressed.”

Ramsay revealed he injured himself biking in Connecticut in a post on Instagram on June 15. He said he was left “really shook” by the incident and he was "lucky to be here" as he showed in an accompanying video his heavily bruised ribs from his injuries.

“I’m in pain. It’s been a brutal week. And I’m sort of getting through it. But I cannot tell you the importance of wearing a helmet," he said at the time.

The dad of six shared that he didn’t break any bones and added that he was “thankful” he had been wearing a helmet during the incident as it “saved my life.”

“I don’t care how short the journey is. I don’t care, you know, the fact that these helmets cost money … they’re crucial,” Ramsay continued. “Even with the kids, a short journey, they’ve got to wear a helmet.”
