With the Summer Olympic Games kicking off Friday, July 26 in Paris, excitement is at an all-time high, whether it's for new faces, returning favorites or just the chance to perhaps see Celine Dion and Lady Gaga duet at the Opening Ceremony.

And it's not just a constellation of incredible athletes lighting up the City of Light: The full Buck Moon made a majestic appearance behind the spectacular illuminated Olympic rings suspended from one of Paris' most iconic landmarks, the Eiffel Tower.

Astrologer Valerie Mesa said that there is significance behind the celestial spectacle. "Fittingly, the 2024 Summer Olympics kick off on the heels of a soaring full moon in Capricorn, a resilient zodiac sign that also happens to epitomize the meaning of hard work and dedication in the pursuit of success."

If fans choose to stay after a Beach Volleyball match they may see a similar sight again, as it's tak -

ing place beneath the Eiffel Tower.

The Eiffel Tower isn't the only landmark nearby; Lés Invalides is just a short walk away where fans can see competitions such as archery and cycling and choose to visit the museums in between.

The Grand Palais has long been called a true jewel in Paris's crown and as you enjoy the beautiful scenery you can catch some combat sports, such as fencing and taekwondo.

The French government has spent years working to clean up the Seine to prepare not only for the opening ceremony but for Olympic competitions such as marathon swimming and the triathlon.

The Place de la Concorde has been described by Paris 2024 officials as "an open stage where urban sports take place in their original playground," which will hold competitions such as BMX freestyle, skateboarding and 3x3 basketball.
