Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are taking a trip down memory lane.

The Deadpool & Wolverine stars recreated their infamous PEOPLE's Sexiest Man Alive covers on the July 25 broadcast of The View.

While talking about their friendly feud over the years, co-host Sara Haines asked, "In those feelings, if you really dig deep down, is it, maybe, competing covers of Sexiest Man Alive that brought out the..."

Jackman, 55, cut her off, saying, "Don't bring it up. We've done a lot of therapy."

Behind them, their respective covers appeared on a screen as the audience applauded.

"So, this is a cute problem you guys have. All your friends are on the cover of PEOPLE," Haines added.

"Yeah," agreed Reynolds, 47. "That is tough. It's a weird requirement to have in a friendship."

"When we catch up, we do assume the pose," the Wolverine actor joked, which prompted them both to recreate their respective covers.

Jackman leaned towards Reynolds with a suave look on his face, while Reynolds couldn't recall his exact pose. "What was I doing?" he asked with his hand on his hip, before turning around to look at the screen. "What am I doing there?"

The Deadpool actor then mimicked the dramatic pose, which sees him leaning back with one hand on his hip and the other resting by his side. "That's not comfortable," he added.

Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin chimed in, bringing the conversation back to serious grounds. She asked about their "secret" to their long friendshi -

p, which has spanned 17 years.

"I think it's the same thing that is a throughline in any great relationship, is that you have two people that root for each other, that like want to see the other person win," Reynolds said. "I genuinely think you could look at that one characteristic, and you can find it in almost any great friendship. Any great marriage, any great anything, you know. Two people that, like, acknowledge someone making a mistake and saying, 'Hey, you could do better here.' You know, it's just being open to that kind of feedback, and open to kind of love, really more than anything."

Jackman added, "But also, being able to say anything. Like, a real friend, you can say the embarrassing stuff, the shameful stuff. The wins and the losses. It's always been that way for us."

Reynolds earned the PEOPLE's Sexiest Man Alive title in 2010, while Jackman was bestowed the honor in 2008.

In May, the two did an exclusive interview with PEOPLE about their tight friendship. "I think the secret sauce to a long-lasting Hollywood friendship is not too dissimilar to having a partner or a marriage," said Reynolds.

He continued to tell Jackman, "I am genuinely rooting for you, all the time. I want you to win. It’s the same way I feel aboutBlake. As I'm rooting for her, I know she's rooting for me, and it's why we're so connected."

Deadpool & Wolverine is in theaters July 26.
