Rihanna and A$AP Rocky Coordinate in Black for Stylish Night Out in New York City

Becoming mom and dad to two kids hasn't stoppedRihannaandA$AP Rocky from spending a stylish date night together.

On Saturday, July 20, the pair were photographed leaving the Mercer Hotel in New York City, both sporting sleek, all-black outfits.

Rocky, 35, wore an oversized double-breasted suit with a red tie and dark black sunglasses, while the "Diamonds" musician, 36, stepped out in a long-sleeved button-down top and shredded jeans. She also accessorized her look with dark sunglasses — lined with sparkling diamonds — and lots of diamond jewelry.

Earlier this summer, a source spoke exclusively with PEOPLE about how the couple has been enjoying spending time together at public events, as well as at home with their sons,RZA, 2, andRiot, 11 months.

"They have always had a solid friendship, and the romance just enhanced that," a music management source said of the pair, noting that "family comes first" for them.

Another source told PEOPLE in May that the "Love on the Brain" singer "is all about motherhood" and "loves" parenting their children.

"She brings the kids on every trip, including work trips. The kids come with her everywhere. She never complains that she's tired," the insider said. "She seems to just love life."

"They're doing a great job raising their kids. He's very supportive of Rihanna too," the insider added, referring to the pair accompanying each other to numerous professional events over the past year — including events for Fenty, Rocky's appearance at Paris Fashion Week and another one of his high-profile fashion events.

"They're both extremely driven and hardworking. He's the same way — you'll never hear him complain," the source continued. "They’re amazing together. Rihanna truly seems the happiest."

The couple has even offered fans a glimpse into their personal life (and their funnier sides) on social media, most notably in avideo shared on Rihanna's Instagram last month.

The hilarious clip showed the singer donning big red sunglasses while dancing and rapping along to GloRilla's “TGIF.” As she showed off her playful side, Rocky stood next to her with his hands on his hips — and a jokingly disapproving look on his face.

The rapper then shook his head and walked off while declaring, "I'm too old for this."
