Ralph Fiennes to Present Jennifer Lopez With Legend & Groundbreaker Award at Palm Springs Fest : ‘Maid in Manhattan’ Reunion

“Maid in Manhattan” co-stars Jennifer Lopez and Ralph Fiennes will reunite at the 2025 Palm Springs International Film Festival. In a reunion more than 20 years in the making, Fiennes will present Lopez with the Legend & Groundbreaker Award at Variety’s 10 Directors to Watchand Creative Impact Awards brunch on Jan. 4.

Released in 2002, “Maid in Manhattan” transposes Cinderella to the world of New York City, starring Lopez as working-class single mother who falls in love with a political heir (Fiennes) after a case of mistaken identity.

Lopez is being honored in recognition of her accomplished multi-hyphenate career that includes work across film, television, music and more, including her turn in the drama “Unstoppable.” Following her breakout role as the eponymous music icon in “Selena,” Lopez forged a formidable film career across all genres, and has continued to find particular success in rom-coms.

In addition to presenting Lopez with her award, Fiennes will be honored alongside the rest of the cast of “Conclave,” which won the Fest’s Ensemble Performance Award.
