A South Carolina woman is accused of fatally stabbing a pregnant teenager who was days away from giving birth.

Maylashia Hogg, 17, was found dead in Barnwell County, S.C., on Feb. 18, days after she was reported missing, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division said.

WACH previously reported, citing officials, that Hogg was due to give birth to a girl, set to be named Londyn Charity, on Feb. 14.

South Carolina officials said on Monday, July 1, that a suspect had been identified after months of investigation. Jacqueline Reid, 62, was charged with two counts of murder, according to arrest warrants reviewed by PEOPLE.

Officials allege that Reid stabbed Hogg multiple times with a sharp-edged weapon. Authorities say Hogg was last seen near Re -

id’s residence and that a search warrant of her home revealed “forensic evidence of the crime,” according to the warrants.

Police did not say what relationship Reid and Hogg had with each other. It is not immediately clear if Reid has entered a plea or retained an attorney.

“Please keep Maylashia’s loved ones in your thoughts,” Barnwell police chief Michael Butts said in a statement. We must continue to care for each other, to honor Maylashia and Londyn’s memories, and come together to heal.”
