YouTuber Joshua Weissman recently thanked his parents for their support of his content career with a thoughtful gift!

The popular food vlogger, 28, recently announced on Instagram that he purchased his parents a new home in Austin, Texas, to thank them for their encouragement and support throughout his career.

He revealed that he made a promise to himself “in 10 years” that he would buy his parents a home, “not because he had to, not because they needed the help, but because he deeply wanted to and it was a dream of his.”

The influencer explained: “I would have never succeeded in anything if it wasn’t for them. After choosing not to go to college, their encouragement despite how that might have felt to them taught me to believe in myself... it became one of my goals to say, ‘Hey, you guys made the right decisions out of anyone I know, and I want to take some of life’s pressure off of you.’ ”

Weissman achieved this dream in half the time he set for himself and bought the home in just five years, he said.

“I want this post to not be for the purpose of being braggadocios (although don’t get me wrong I love boosting my ego),” he admitted. “But instead to offer something more than hope.”

“Living proof that if you believe in something and work hard at it, even the things that we dream about today, the things that we wish to do for our future selves and those around us can go from a simple thought to full fledged fruition,” he continued.

Weissman concluded the post by telling his followers, “no matter how big or small, to take care of those that have taken care of you.”

He explained that although he’s “self made,” he was able to do so because he had the support of “a village.”

“If you’re lucky enough to even have 1 person that believes in you then you need to hold that person very close and look after them because there are not many people like that in this world. Call them, and tell them how much you care about them,” he wrote. “I love you mom and dad!”

Throughout the Instagram carousel, he shared two heartfelt videos of his mother, Lynn Weissman, crying at a dining table, seemingly reacting to Joshua’s thrilling news. The other video includes Lynn opening the front door to her new home with a beaming smile and excited demeanor.

The post also included two photos, one of which was a handwritten card to his parents and a key to the new home. “To the people who gave me everything and the best mom a son could ever ask for. Good for 1 Austin Texas house. Love, Joshua,” read the card’s interior.

He then added a photo alongside his parents, and wrapped his arms around both, as the trio smiled wide for the camera in front of the new house.
