Popeyes is giving interns their due.

“Interns, Bring Lunch Back for yourself, on US,” Popeyes said in a press release ahead of National Intern Day on July 25.

The chain is offering free fried chicken sandwiches with any order over $10 on Thursday. To qualify, you have to be a Popeyes Rewards members and order online or through the Popeyes app for pickup.

The deal, which is available in all U.S. states except for Hawaii and Alaska, plays off the stereotypical intern duties of running errands for higher-ups in the office.

“You put in those extra hours. Ran those extra coffee runs and lunch pick-ups. Knocked out the work of your superiors. Researched and presented. As the summer interns of 2024: You. Ate. So now, we want you to eat – for FREE,” the release continued.

Although the deal is intended to celebrate interns, Popeyes specified that all are welcome to join in on the fun.

“No matter what stage of the corporate ladder you are; interns, bosses, supervisors, mentors or leaders, we want you to celebrate the 2024 Summer interns in your life with a more vibrant lunch choice,” the brand announced.

In June, Popeyes served up a similar deal for customers — but this one celebrated their new boneless chicken wings.

After adding six different flavors of the wings to their me -

nu, the restaurant offered up a six-piece portion of the new item for any customers who spent more than $10 while ordering online or through their app.

The wings are currently on the menu in classic, signature hot, roasted garlic parmesan, honey lemon pepper, sweet n’ spicy and honey BBQ.

Another popular chain has been giving some love to interns this summer.

Dunkin’ has debuted a hilarious new ad campaign titled “Dunkin’Terns,” where Will Arnett and social media star Natalie Marshall — best known as Corporate Natalie — lead an all-star team of interns including actress Maia Reficco, Joey Fatone of *NSYNC, AJ McLean of the Backstreet Boys and chef Nick DiGiovanni.

In the series of videos, Natalie and Arnett lead the Dunkin’Terns through a series of briefings, such as music, acting, a culinary training and orientation.

“Let’s put a Dunkin’ Iced in every hand this summer!” Arnett says in one of the videos.

In an exclusive interview about the campaign with PEOPLE, Arnett, 54, said that he was convinced into the spot by his friends and “DunKings” Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, who starred in a hit Super Bowl ad for Dunkin’.

"No truthfully, Matt and Ben bullied me into it, so that was nice," he said.
