Signature Entertainment has acquired the U.K. and Ireland rights to the Pete Davidson (“The King of Staten Island”) horrorfilm ”The Home”from Miramax.

The feature was produced byBill Block(“Halloween Kills”) andSébastian K. Lemercier(“The First Purge”) and is directed byJames DeMonaco(“The Purge”franchise) from a script co-written by DeMonaco andAdam Cantor. Last year Lionsgate bought the film for the U.S. after it screened for buyers outside of competition at the Toronto Film Festival.

“The Home” follows former foster child Max, who begins working at a retirement home, where he quickly discovers that its residents and caretakers are harboring sinister secrets.

The deal was negotiated between Signature chief commercial officerElizabeth Williamsand Miramax’s senior vice president of international production and distributionYvette Zhuang.

co,” said Signature. “Fans of Pete Davidson will see him in an all-new light, and we’re looking forward to frightening U.K. and Irish audiences later this year.”

Davidson recently starred in “Dumb Money,” and, alongside “The Home,” also has A24’s “Wizards” with Franz Rogowski, Naomi Scott, Sean Harris and Orlando Bloom, and “Riff-Raff” with Jennifer Coolidge, Dustin Hoffman and Brian Cox, coming up.

Signature recently released the George MacKay thriller“Femme,” Jodie Comer drama“The End We Start From”and Joe Keery crime caper“Marmalade.” Signature’s upcoming slate includes the Cate Blanchett drama“The New Boy”and Leonardo DiCaprio-produced animation“Ozi: Voice of the Forest.”
