Slim Shady is back to his old ways with his newest song "Houdini."

On Friday, May 23, Eminem released the first single "Houdini" off his upcoming albumThe Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce). In the track, Eminem included some 2002 "Without Me" nostalgia — and made some notable disses.

In the first verse, Eminem, 51, takes aim at Megan Thee Stallion when he raps: "If I was to ask for Megan Thee/Stallion if she would collab with me/Would I really have a shot at a feat/I don't know but I'm glad to be back."

With this, he's likely referencing Megan being shot in the feet by Tory Lanez — who was sentenced to 10 years in prison for it — in 2020.

In the third verse, after he contemplates "what the old me'd say (if what) if he could see the way s--- is today," he playfully tells several people, including himself, to "f--- off."

"You can all suck my d---, in fact f--- them, f‚ Dr. Dre, f--- Jimmy, f--- me, f--- you, f--- my own kids they're brats."

"They can screw-off, them and you all, you too Paul, got two balls, big as RuPaul's, what you thought you saw ain't what you saw," he continues.

Eminem released a music video to pair with the song on Friday and it included several references to his 2002 "Without Me" video.

In the video, Eminem receives a call from Dre revealing that a portal to 2002 has opened in the city, meaning that his younger version arrived in 2024.

> With comic book-style visuals, the present and younger version of the rapper appear onscreen together. Eminem even brought back the superhero suit he wore in the earlier video as he raps about his younger self.

"Abra-abracadabra (And for my last trick)/I'm 'bout to reach in my bag, bruh (Like)/Abra-abracadabra (And for my last trick, poof)/Just like that and I'm back, bro," he raps in the track's chorus.

The video included cameos from 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, comedian Shane Gillis, Pete Davidson and his three kids Hailie Jade, 28, Alaina, 31, and Stevie, 22.

Days before the release, Eminem released a video featuring magician David Blaine, in which he asked the magician for help.

“What I was wondering is like, how far can we go with this magic? Like, can we do like a stunt or something?” he said in the video. “Well for my last trick, I’m gonna make my career disappear.”

The upcoming album will center around the death of his longtime alter ego Slim Shady, which he first introduced with the 1997 Slim Shady EP — and two years later released The Slim Shady LP.

Meanwhile, earlier this month, afake obituary for Slim Shadyappeared in theDetroit Free Press, Eminem’s hometown newspaper.

The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) will mark the rapper's first album since 2020's Music to Be Murdered By.
