It's almost time to return to the dojo.

Cobra Kai returns on Thursday, July 18 with the first part of the show's sixth and final season — and in the first trailer, tensions are running high in the dojo.

"We've been through a lot to get to this point, but now we're finally on the same page," Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) says as the trailer begins, teasing the competition that's to come for his and Johnny Lawrence's (William Zabka) students. "We may have settled things in the Valley, but now we have to be ready for whatever the world throws at us."

As the students prepare to "fight the best in the world," Daniel and Johnny seem to clash over their preferred training methods.

"Our strength is we teach both styles equally. Don't jeopardize that balance, man," Daniel reminds his former rival.

"Since when do I run shit by you?" Johnny asks.

In answer, Daniel reveals that they "have no idea what we're up against."

Enter John Kreese (Martin Kove). The Karate Kid alum reprises his role for Cobra Kai's final season as the sensei of a rival dojo.

"Only through pain does a champion reveal itself," John tells his students in the trailer.

Rivalries aside, there's another major discovery at hand, as Daniel and Chozen Toguchi (Yuji Okumoto) stumble upon another hidden treasure from their former master.

"Miyagi San buried secrets for a reason," Chozen says in the trailer as Daniel discovers a box hidden below the floor boards. "If we open, anything is possible. -

"

The first part of Cobra Kai's final season sees the students and senseis reeling after they were "eliminated from the Valley" and "must decide if and how they will compete in the Sekai Taikai — the world championships of karate."

In January 2023, the show's creators Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg announced that the beloved spinoff series would be coming to an end after season 6.

"Reacquainting the world with the Karate Kid universe has been our humble honor," they wrote in a statement on Instagram. "It has enabled us to play sensei, expanding the original storylines and birthing a new generation of underdogs. We've never once taken this opportunity for granted."

"Our Day 1 goal with Cobra Kai has always been to end it on our terms, leaving the Valley in the time and place we've always imagined. While this may be a bittersweet day for the fandom, the Miyagiverse has never been stronger," the statement continued. "This fandom is the BEST on the planet and we hope to be telling more Karate Kid stories with you down the line. Because as we all know: Cobra Kai Never Dies."
