Netflix Renews Perfect Match for Season 3 After Shocking Season 2 Finale

Season 2 of the hit reality dating show ranked in the Global Top 10 for TV three weeks after its premiere earlier this month

On Thursday, June 27, Netflix announced its decision to renew the hit reality dating show for a third season. The news comes shortly after season 2 ranked in the Global Top 10 for TV three weeks after its premiere earlier this month.

Hosted byNick Lachey, the show features singles from the streamer's most popular reality shows, includingToo Hot to Handle,Love Is Blind,Dated and Related, andThe Circle,as they couple up and test a potential love spark through compatibility challenges.

Winners are granted the opportunity to bring in new singles to shake up the competition, and in the end, only one couple can be crowned the “Perfect Match.”

In season 2 of Perfect Match, only five couples made it to the finale out of a total of 25 contestants. The duos were: Chris Hahn (Dated and Related) and Tolú Ekundare (The Trust), Alara Taneri (Dated and Related) andStevan Ditter(Too Hot to Handle),Micah Lussier(Love Is Blind) andKaz Bishop (Dated and Related), Elys Hutchinson (Too Hot to Handle) and Bryton Constantin (Squid Game: The Challenge), and Christine Obanor (Too Hot to Handle) and Nigel Euro (Too Hot to Handle).

em>Love Is Blind) andHarry Jowsey(Too Hot to Handle) broke up right before the finale, while the rest of the cast returned to participate in the final vote. Though they weren't paired for long, Christine and Nigel managed to eventually nab the title of the "Perfect Match" for season 2.

With Nigel and Christine's win, they were given an all-expenses-paid vacation to anywhere of their choosing. They ended up going to Thailand four weeks after filming wrapped and Christine raved about her new beau in the final minutes of the episode.

"Nigel is my person, he understands me. We vibe so well when we're with each other," she said. "I am so excited to finally have the man that I've manifested all my life."

Though they walked away from the show on good terms, Christine and Nigel eventually parted ways. In a follow-up interview shared on Instagram in June, Nigel claimed their relationship was "rocky" while Christine said they were "done."

"I tried to interfere and suggested we try couples therapy and just do things that would help the relationship but nothing was just sticking," she explained.
