A man on Reddit says he was left out of a family photo given to his in-laws for their 30th anniversary — and now he's wondering why.
In an anonymous post, the man writes that his wife and all her siblings "decided to get a large framed photo collage" for the couple as an anniversary gift.
"The collage, of course, has their wedding pictures and pictures of my wife and her siblings as children. The collage also includes the most recent group photo of their whole family together at our wedding back in April," he writes, adding that it also contained photos "of her three married brothers with their wives & children, and a picture of her recently-engaged brother & his fiancée."
What it didn't have, however, is a photo of him.

"There is no picture of me and my wife, nor do I appear in any of the group pictures, not even in the family pic from our wedding," he adds. "I brought this to my wife's attention, and her immediate & annoyed sounding response was, 'It's not about you. It's about my parents and my family & the grandkids. -

While the man said he knew it wasn't about him, he did wonder: "If there's pictures of your married brothers with their wives, shouldn't there also be one of us?"
"Her response was, 'It's not about my married brothers and their wives, it's to show off the grandkids!' "
When he asked about the photo of the newly engaged brother and his fiancé — who have no children — his wife then became "upset," telling him he was "really annoying" her and that he needed to "grow up," he writes.
"Now truthfully, I don't really care that much about not being in the collage, but I am feeling very hurt and frustrated by my wife's response," he adds.
After ending his post by wondering if he was being too sensitive, Reddit users weighed in — and many feel the omission was intentional, with one writing, "They're married, they have tons of photos together. Recent or old. She even could have put her wedding photos on there. This was deliberate."
Another commenter offered advice to the original poster, writing he should "examine the whole relationship, and find out what the plan is on getting him out of the picture for good."
