Josh Hall Sources Say He's Blindsided by Christina Hall Divorce — a Claim She Calls 'Typical Hired PR Speech'

Josh Hall is reportedly surprised by the end of his marriage to Christina Hall.

Sources close to Josh claimed to TMZ that Christina stopped speaking to him after a disagreement and would only speak to him through an attorney. They added that Josh eventually hired his own representation after realizing where his marriage was heading.

According to the sources, Josh was shocked at how things unfolded and never expected his marriage would end how it did. They further said the realtor was dedicated to Christina and her three children, Taylor, 13, and Brayden, 8, whom she shares with ex Tarek El Moussa, and Hudson, 4. whom she shares with ex Ant Anstead.

They also noted that while he was “sad" about how things turned out, he wished “the best” for Christina and her kids moving forward and was “optimistic” at his path ahead. The insiders added that he has been spending more time in Nashville, and going to church and the gym since filing for divorce.

This all comes after Christina shared a statement on her Instagram Stories on Thursday, July 25, saying she was waiting for Josh's “PR speech” about being “blindsided” after he filed for divorce.

The HGTV star went on to call Josh "an insecure man with a large ego” after he shared a photo of hims -

"Over here waiting for the typical Hired PR rep speech of 'how I was blind-sided and how I'm working on myself and taking time to heal at her ranch ............. Meanwhile, I'm over here not as nice and quiet as I used to be .....," she wrote. 

"I have worked my ass off to build this life for myself and my children and anyone who would try and take what they do not deserve/ what they did NOT work for should be ashamed,” she continued. “An insecure man with a large ego can sure try and derail you- but 'still i rise' ...." 

"For those that aren't aware ... divorces do not happen overnight .. & there is always a breaking point. This one is personal.......," she concluded the statement, but did not detail what happened that led to their marriage failing.

On Monday, July 15, Josh filed for divorce after nearly three years of marriage, citing "irreconcilable differences." He also requested spousal support.

After news of the divorce broke, an insider told PEOPLE that the couple “had issues in the marriage for quite some time."

The pair secretly married in a courthouse ceremony in Oct. 2021, and later held another ceremony in Hawaii to celebrate their nuptials in Sept. 2022. In the filing previously obtained by PEOPLE, their "date of separation" was listed as July 8, 2024.
