Written and directed by Jeff Nichols (adapted from the 2014 book of the same name by Danny Lyon), “The Bikeriders” takes place in the ’60s and follows the Vandals Motorcycle Club, a gathering of outsiders from Chicago, led by Johnny (Tom Hardy). Under his leadership, the motorcycle club turns into a life of crime as a biker gang throughout the decade.

As for the quality of & -

ldquo; The Bikeriders” itself, Varietyfilm critic Peter Debruge called the film, “cool personified.” Debruge wrote in his review, “While it could be accused of romanticizing some pretty damaged characters (the real-life Benny abused his wife), ‘The Bikeriders‘ doesn’t pretend that motorcycle gangs can’t be dangerous. Still, it goes a long way to humanize figures who’ve been long misrepresented on film, while giving audiences privileged access to this inner world.”

“The Bikeriders” is available to watch at home starting on Tuesday, July 9 via Prime Video or Apple TV. You can either buy it for $24.99 or rent it for $19.99 online. While a release date has yet to be announced, the film lands on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD sometime later in 2024.
