Double congratulations are in order for Deiondra Sanders and Jacquees!

The daughter of the NFL legend Deion Sanders and the singer got engaged in front of their family and friends during the couple's baby shower over the weekend of July 13 and 14.

The celebration was meant to be a pool party/baby shower, but Jacquees, 30, had a surprise in store for his girlfriend, 32.

The couple reportedly started dating in 2023, and found out they were expecting their first child together in March.

Both posted about the celebration on Instagram. Deiondra's social media post featured emotional pictures from the party, along with close-up shots of her sparkling round diamond ring.

"I am so ecstatic. I was not expecting this at all. I don’t even gotta say much cause we both know what’s up. ????????," she wrote on Instagram on Monday, July 15. "I know this took a lot of courage, honesty, letting go of fear, epic nerve and self assurance. I am so proud of you and I will be here every step of the way to help you become the man God intended you to be????"

Jacquees, whose real name is Rodriquez Jacquees Broadnax, posted a long letter dedicated to his now-fiancée. "Took so much courage and faith," he posted on Instagram on Sunday, July 14.

Some slides featured pictures from their pool party/baby shower. Others included text for Deiondra, detailing how they first met, when they learned they were pregnant and how much he adores her.

"I always wanted to be the man of a woman's dreams the way that you see me. I know I can be. I know I am," he wrote in the four-slide letter, adding, "Our baby boy is going to be so blessed babe!"

"I want you to know you can count on me and count on me forever," he concluded the letter. "I will always try my best to be the best for you and my family at all times... I wanna seal the deal will you marry me Deiondra Sanders?"

Jacquees also shared intimate pictures of him placing the ring on Deiondra's finger, plus a video of the moment he popped the question.

"I haven't digested that whole thing yet," the future father-in-law and grandpa-to-be Deion, 56, told PEOPLE in April of becoming a first-time grandfather with Deiondra's baby on the way.

"I'm proud of my baby that she's at least waited until her thirties to give me this gift of life," Deion added of his oldest child. "I'm happy about that, but I want to make sure she's straight emotionally and psychologically as well."
