Christina Hall is getting a lesson from her teenage daughter Taylor

Christina Hall is getting a lesson from her teenage daughter Taylor.

The design expert, 41, receives an impromptu tutorial from her now 13-year-old daughter on how to “dap me up,” Taylor explains in an exclusive first look at Thursday's new episode of Christina on the Coast.

“It’s always important to spend time with family, so I’m taking Taylor for one of her favorite treats,” Hall begins in the above clip before the scene cuts to her and Taylor entering a frozen yogurt shop.

Once the mom-daughter duo have settled on their flavors, they find a seat outside and enjoy their quality time together.

“It’s so crazy how much older you look without braces, and I can’t believe you’re going to be 13,” Hall says (the scene was filmed before Taylor's birthday in September 2023). “How do I have a teenager? It’s freaking me out,” she adds as Taylor shrugs.

Hall then tells her daughter, “You only turn 13 once… you want to do a party?” Taylor immediately responds, “Yes.”

To her mom’s relief, the soon-to-be teen says she only wants to invite girls to her tropical-themed pool party.

Once they decide on a few more details for the bash, Taylor asks her mom, “We got a plan?” and reaches her hand towards her mom. “Dap me up!” she says to Hall, who has a puzzled look on her face.

After Hall confuses the hand gesture with “dabbing,” Taylor shakes her head and tells her mom, “You’re so old.”

Season 5 of Christina on the Coast kicked off on July 11 and featured the mom of three working with her parents to renovate her childhood home. She previously described her parents as her “toughest clients” during a February interview with Parade as they weren’t always eager to follow her design advice.

Along with a new season of Christina on the Coast, HGTV recently announced that Christina will be reuniting with El Moussa for The Flip Off — a new HGTV competition series set to premiere in 2025.

The show is supposed to feature Tarek and his wife, Selling Sunset alum Heather El Moussa, as they "throw down" against Hall and her now estranged husband Josh, according to a release from HGTV.

On July 15, Josh filed for divorce from Christina due to "irreconcilable differences" after nearly three years of marriage, according to the filing obtained by PEOPLE. Christina also filed for divorce. It is not yet clear how their separation will impact The Flip Off.
