Josh Hall appears in the new season of Christina in the Country, despite filing for divorce from the show's star, Christina Haack in July.
The HGTV series' second season, which premiered on Tuesday, Nov. 12, was filmed before the exes split and features Josh in multiple scenes throughout the premiere. Similar to the first, the new season of the Christina on the Coast spin-off follows the designer as she expands her business from California to Tennessee and explores country living with her family.
Josh and Christina are immediately seen happy and together in the opening scene. The pair sit in the kitchen of the $12 million Newport Beach, Calif. home they shared as they discuss going back to Tennessee to work on some projects.
“I have some good news,” Christina says to Josh. “I know how much you love Tennessee. I’ve gotten some inquiries lately and a few of them are really good, so I feel like it’s time we go back there and start some new projects, new families, new contractors.”
“Oh it’s been time,” Josh cuts in.
After Josh expresses interest in finding some more homes to flip in the Nashville area, he then opens up about their troubled first Tennessee flip project, which Christina says has been “sitting there for over a year” due to issues with the septic system.
Josh tells his then-wife he’ll try his best to find some projects that will generate a quick profit.
Later in the episode, Josh and Christina head to downtown Franklin, Tenn. together to check out a potential flip and weigh the pros and cons of the project over a meal at their favorite restaurant in the area.
Christina mentions how their first flip that they s -
till haven’t finished has cost them $620,000 so far, which Josh says is a “sore subject” for him. Despite that property weighing them down, the pair decide to take on the new house that Christina believes is “going to be a moneymaker.”
Also featured in the episode is Christina’s Leipers Fork, Tenn. home, where she and Josh lived while filming alongside her children: Taylor, 14, and Brayden, 9, (whom she shares with ex Tarek El Moussa) and Hudson, 5 (whom she shares with ex Ant Anstead).
The modern farmhouse served as a main setting in the first season of the series that premiered in January 2023. Christina officially put the home up for sale for $4.5 million in October.

The mom of three purchased the home in February 2021 before she met her now-estranged husband. A source previously confirmed to PEOPLE that when they split, Josh moved out of their Newport Beach home and into their country house.
After sharing news of the listing, Christina publicly called out her ex in her Instagram Stories for adding the location of the home to his social media bio.
"I guess 'Leiper's Fork' is gonna have to come off the bio soon...Time to go back to reality," she wrote.
Josh filed for divorce from Christina citing "irreconcilable differences" on July 15 and asking for spousal support. Christina has since alleged that Josh requested $65,000 per month from her, which he denied.
