Christina Hall and her husband Josh were secretly married six months before their marriage was first public in 2022.

The HGTV star, 41, and realtor, 43, legally wed on Oct. 6, 2021, according to the divorce filing from Josh on Monday, July 15.

PEOPLE previously confirmed that the pair were married in April 2022 after they secretly tied the knot in California "sometime over the last 6 months," TMZ reported at the time. Christina also appeared to change her last name from Haack (her maiden name) to Hall on her real estate license.

Josh filed for divorce from Christina due to “irreconcilable differences,” per the filing. Their “date of separation” is listed as July 8, 2024 and Josh is also requesting spousal support from Christina.

A source close to Christina told PEOPLE that the design star has also filed for divorce from her estranged husband. She has since deleted their wedding photo from her Instagram account.

It was first revealed that Christina was in a relationship with Josh in July 2021.

"They recently started dating each other and it was an immediate, real connection," a source told PEOPLE at the time, adding that her new man worked in real estate. " -

;They've enjoyed getting to know each other one-on-one without outside noise."

The news that Christina was in a fresh relationship came almost a year after she split from her ex-husband Ant Anstead in September 2020. Her divorce from Anstead was finalized in June 2021 — just four months before her wedding to Josh later that year in October.

Christina and Anstead share 4-year-old son Hudson together, and she also has two older children — Taylor, 13, and Brayden, 8 — from her previous marriage to ex Tarek El Moussa.

In September 2022, Christina and Josh tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Hawaii while they were surrounded by close friends and family.

A week after their wedding, Josh reflected on the moment on Instagram alongside a photo of him, Christina and a few of their loved ones.

"A week ago, I married the best friend I could ask for, just the way we wanted, our way and with some of the closest people to us,” he wrote in the caption. “A week later, I can't help but feel grateful for all that made the trip out and made us feel the love. Love all these people. 🤟🏼❤️."
