Matt Bushman and his wife Emily Bushman are growing their family.

On Tuesday, Oct. 29, the former Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 28, and his spouse shared a sweet video on social media announcing that they would soon be a family of five.

“Baby Bushman #3 coming in April! Swipe for a surprise ????????????,” Emily captioned an Instagram carousel.Emily is the daughter of retired tight end Chad Lewis, who played for now-Chiefs head coach Andy Reid on the Philadelphia Eagles in the late '90s.

The first photo showed the couple standing outdoors on a deck in a backyard, smiling as they held up a multi-photo ultrasound printout.

In the second swipe, Emily added a video of the Bushman family gathered with their loved ones for a gender reveal.

Emily held her toddler Micah Jane on her hip as daughter Andie Mae, 4, stood in between her mommy and daddy.

The couple did a quick countdown before their handheld smoke-filled props popped open to let out a cloud of blue smoke.

“It’s a brother!” Emily yelled excitedly as several people and children standing on the outdoor deck with them cheered the family on. Andie smiled at the news before being picked up by her dad.

On Feb. 1, ahead of Super Bowl LVIII, Emily posted a TikTok video in which she revealed how she was “preparing for the Super Bowl." She said her two girls would be staying with her mother for the Feb. 11 festivities.

"So, two weeks before the players have to get all of the logistics figured out. The players get a certain amount of tickets for the Super -

Bowl and only two of them are comped," she said while walking with a then-7-month-old Micah Jane, who sat in a carrier.

"The tickets are about four times as much as they usually are," Emily said, noting that each player gets two tickets comped, but any other seats would have to be purchased separately.

Following the Chiefs’ win against the San Francisco 49ers at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas for Super Bowl LVIII, Matt ended his run with the NFL. Matt was also a member of the Chiefs team that beat the Eagles in Super Bowl LVII in February 2023.

“If a great opportunity presents itself in the NFL again, I’ll take it,” the former pro athlete told the Y’s Guys podcast in April, per Deseret News. “But after a lot of prayer and a season of thought, I felt it was time to take the next step and move away from football.”

At the beginning of the 2023-2024 NFL season, Matt stepped in when Travis Kelce was out with an injury, but went back on the practice squad once the Grotesquerie star, 35, recovered.

“Playing in the first game, it was uneventful, but it was awesome,” Matt continued. “It’s kind of a gut feeling of knowing when it’s time to be done. This isn’t a retirement announcement, but I’m taking those steps to move on.”
