America Ferrera,Alexis Bledel and Amber Tamblynare supporting Blake Lively, just days after she filed a sexual harassment complaint against her It Ends with Us costar Justin Baldoni.
In a joint statement shared on Instagram on Sunday, Dec. 21, the actresses — who all starred alongside Lively in the 2005 movie The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants — voiced their support for the Gossip Girl alum, 37, amid her allegations against Baldoni, 40.
"As Blake's friends and sisters for over twenty years, we stand with her in solidarity as she fights back against the reported campaign waged to destroy her reputation," the statement began. "Throughout the filming of It Ends with Us, we saw her summon the courage to ask for a safe workplace for herself and colleagues on set, and we are appalled to read the evidence of a premeditated and vindictive effort that ensued to discredit her voice."
"Most upsetting is the unabashed exploitation of domestic violence survivors' stories to silence a woman who asked for safety. The hypocrisy is astounding," the statement continued.
"We are struck by the reality that even if a woman is as strong, celebrated, and resourced as our friend Blake, she can face forceful retaliation for daring to ask for a safe working environment," the actresses said.
"We are inspired by our sister's courage to stand up for herself and others," the statement concluded. "For anyone seeking more information or engaging in this important conversation online, please read the full legal complaint in the investigative reporting by Megan Twohey, Mike McIntire, and Julie Tate for the New York Times."
Tamblyn, 41, added some additional comments on her Instagram Stories, writing that she was a "confidante" for Lively and remembers how "painful" the experience of filming It Ends with Us was for the star.
"I'm glad all of this has come to light with solid reporting and receipts. I ask you to please read the full article and specifically, the legal complaint at the link," Tamblyn added, linking out to the New York Times report.
In her complaint, Lively alleges that Baldoni engaged in misconduct during the production of It Ends with Us including showing her explicit images and videos, asking her about her personal sex life and -
adding additional intimacy scenes to the film that she had not originally agreed to, PEOPLE previously reported. She also names lead producer Jamey Heath as participating in misconduct in the complaint.
The complaint states that Lively, who was joined by her husband Ryan Reynolds, met with producers of the movie to request that Baldoni change his behavior.
Some of the protections Lively sought were “no more improvising of kissing” and “no more personal, physical touching of, or sexual comments by, Mr Baldoni or Mr, Heath to be tolerated by Blake Lively and/or any of her employees, as well as any female cast or crew without their express consent," according to the complaint.

Although Lively said Baldoni agreed to the protections, the complaint alleges that the actor then hired crisis publicists to begin a retaliatory smear campaign against her on social media and in the press.
Lively says in her complaint, which is a precursor to filing a discrimination lawsuit in California, that "she has suffered from grief, fear, trauma andextreme anxiety" because ofBaldoni’s behavior.
The complaint adds that "the emotional impact on Ms. Lively has been extreme, not only affecting her, but her family, including her husband and four children."
A number of other prominent figures have come out in support of Lively, including the author of the It Ends with Us novel, Colleen Hoover. On Saturday, Hoover, 45, wrote in her own social media post that the actress is "nothing but honest, kind, supportive and patient.""@blakelively, you have been nothing but honest, kind, supportive and patient since the day we met," Hoover wrote on her Instagram Stories alongside a photo of herself and Lively hugging. "Thank you for being exactly the human that you are. Never change. Never wilt."
Lively's sister Robyn also shared her support for the actress in apost on her Instagram Storieson Saturday. Robyn included a collage of screenshots from the New York Timesarticle summarizing the ordeal between Blake and Baldoni.
"FINALLY justice for my sister @BlakeLively," Robyn wrote alongside the screenshots.
