Jaylen Brown has found his match — and she’s also a basketball star.

The Boston Celtics player confirmed his relationship with WNBA free agent Kysre Gondrezick in July 2024 when the two walked the carpet of the ESPY Awards together. Their appearance confirmed rumors that the two were dating after she was spotted supporting him when the Celtics won the NBA championship the previous month.

Brown earned the award for best championship performance at the event after helping his team earn their 18th victory. Gondrezick has also had a successful career in basketball after being drafted fourth overall in 2021 and playing with the Chicago Sky, though she is now a free agent.

Gondrezick was previously in a relationship with Kevin Porter Jr., a former Houston Rockets basketball player. In September 2023, Porter was arrested after an alleged assault on Gondrezick at a Manhattan hotel and later pled guilty to a misdemeanor assault and harassment violation.

Neither Brown nor Gondrezick have publicly commented on their relationship yet.

So who is Jaylen Brown’s girlfriend? Here’s everything to know about WNBA player Ksyre Gondrezick and her relationship with the Celtics star.

Gondrezick grew up in Benton Harbor, Mich., and started her career playing college football for West Virginia University and the University of Michigan. She was drafted as the fourth overall pick in the 2021 WNBA draft by the Indiana Fever.

“Hard work pays off,” Gondrezick told Indiana Fever’s Pat Boylan after getting drafted in April 2021. “This journey has not been easy. I played catch up for a long time, so it was kind of like proof to let me know you’ve finally caught up, and it's time to take off.”

She added that when she saw her name announced on the screen, she felt relief that all the adversity she faced was worth it and she could “finally breathe.”

The former Chicago Sky guard was born into a family of athletes who all played basketball. Her father, Grant Gondrezick, played for Pepperdine University before being drafted to the Phoenix Suns in 1986, while her mom, Lisa Harvey, played for Louisiana Tech University where she brought her team to a national championship. Gondrezick’s older sister also played basketball -

for Michigan State University.

“Coming from a basketball heritage…basketball runs in my blood,” she told Boylan. “I think it comes very natural and instinctive to me and my IQ is something that people are enamored with so being around the game at a young age allows me to be free when I’m playing and fully understand the game from both ends.”

In her final collegiate season, Gondrezick’s father died, leaving her to deal with the loss as she declared for the draft. She shared with Boylan that her dad “spoke everything into existence,” and he was confident in her ability to join the WNBA.

“The day after the last season, he told me we’re about to get in shape, we’re going to have an All-American season, we’re going to get you back out there, you’re going to be a top five draft pick,” Gondrezick said. “The fact that he’s not present, I know he manifested this and he cultivated this moment for me and I’m excited to keep it going for him.”

In January 2022, Gondrezick was waived by the Fever and joined the Chicago Sky’s training camp shortly after. She did not make the final roster for opening night, but in February 2024 she returned to the camp. In May 2024, she played her first game for the team on their Opening Day roster.

While on the team, she played alongside Angel Reese and the two formed a close bond, occasionally making TikToks together.

Gondrezick was released from the Chicago Sky in June 2024.

After Brown and the Celtics cinched the championship win in June 2024, fans were quick to notice that Gondrezick was by his side as he celebrated at the parade in Boston.

Hours before the two walked the ESPY Awards carpet the following month, TMZ also spotted the two getting into a van to the show together and walking arm in arm.

The couple first debuted their relationship at the 2024 ESPY Awards red carpet, with Brown calling Gondrezick his “beautiful date” on the livestream.

The basketball pair stunned in matching black ensembles with Gondrezick’s dress featuring lace details and a high collar while Brown’s suit look was elevated with a broach and sunglasses.
