Time has flown by for Daphne Oz and her husband, John Jovanovic.

The MasterChef Junior judge met the financial analyst when they were both students at Princeton University in the early 2000s. Oz and Jovanovic married on Aug. 26, 2010, at the Municipal Marriage Bureau in Manhattan, and two religious ceremonies followed the civil ceremony, according to The New York Times.

In honor of their 10th wedding anniversary in 2020, the cookbook author marked the occasion by reflecting on the milestone on Instagram.

"We still make out like this every day and I hope we always will!💋 Lots more anniversary celebration posts coming your way this week because I am fully in shock — where did the DECADE go?? You know what they say about having fun," she captioned a photo of herself and Jovanovic kissing at their wedding reception.

In a 2012interview with The Chalkboard, Oz said that her marriage is reliant on compromise.

“What I’ve learned in a little over a year being married is that happy marriage — like everything else! — is about compromise," she explained. "Sharing your life with someone you love quickly breaks you of any bad habits. If you’re rigid and unyielding about your opinions, choices or routines, chances are you won’t make for a great partner.”

So who is Daphne Oz’s husband? Here’s everything to know about John Jovanovic and his relationship with the chef.

Jovanovic has held different positions throughout his career. According to his LinkedIn profile, he's the chief strategy officer at the tree pruning and vegetation management company Asplundh Tree Expert.

Previously, he was the chief marketing officer of Nova Fleet, a company described as an “investment fund backing and building innovative companies in energy and other critical industries.” In addition, he's worked with Concordia as a senior advisor since 2019 and he took the stage at the 2021 Annual Summit to give keynote remarks in 2021.

Before his work with Nova Fleet and Concordia, Jovanovic worked at the McCain Institute for International Leadership on the Next Generation Leaders Advisory Council.

The couple live in Palm Beach, Fla., after having relocated from New York City. In a 2022 interview with Palm Beach Illustrated, Oz said that they are happy to live in South Florida and value having the best of both worlds.

“It’s a small-town culture with big-city amenities,” she told the outlet. “Palm Beachers have these common values of family and quality of life and dee -

p, meaningful relationships that form a tight-knit community. It’s a really beautiful place to have full lives in a way that makes us very happy.”

Oz told The Chalkboard that she and Jovanovic don’t take things too seriously — they “make room for silliness” in their relationship.

“The examples of lasting, loving partnerships I’ve seen all put a lot of focus on having fun together, and my husband and I try to find ways to play with and entertain one another every day,” she explained. “Is humor a virtue? I think it should be. Making room for silliness also ensures that serious conversations don’t get lost in a lifetime of being serious.”

When it comes to disagreements, the couple has learned to “fight well.”

“We do have our fights! Learning how to ‘fight well’ — with honesty and kindness, as bizarre as that sounds — is one of the keys to finding productive resolutions and avoid hurting each other unnecessarily,” she said.

Oz and Jovanovic have four kids together: daughters Giovanna Ines, Domenica Celine and Philomena “Philo” Bijou, and son Jovan.

In August 2022, the couple enjoyed a “double date day” with two of their four kids. Jovanovic and Jovan headed to a Dolphins game in Miami, while Philo and Oz enjoyed a movie night together.

"Double date Sunday!! ???? The Johns went to see the Dolphins game down in Miami, so Philo and I made an evening of it…we saw Sing 2 (so cute ????) and then chased our bucket of popcorn and candy with all the veg at Cheesecake Factory (the Thai chicken lettuce wraps ????)," Oz wrote in an Instagram caption, sharing a snap of her and Philo grinning with their popcorn and candy.

While it took a while for Jovanovic to find his way around the kitchen, it’s a hobby that the father-of-four picked up after the birth of the couple’s first child Philomena.

"My husband’s not a huge cook, but he started cooking for me all the time when I was first home from the hospital, and now we have his signature baked salmon dish," the Chew co-host said in an interview with Bravado Designs, per ABC News.

Oz noted that her husband’s signature dish did become repetitive, but it’s something she still very much appreciated.

“Sometimes the menu was repetitive, but it was delicious. All you care about during that time is having someone else do the cooking for you, which was much, much appreciated," she said.
