All About Ben Seed? Who Is Daisy Edgar-Jones' Boyfriend

Daisy Edgar-Jones has great chemistry with her costars, but offscreen, she’s happily taken.

The Twisters actress has been dating photographer Ben Seed since 2023. The couple first sparked dating rumors in September 2023 when they were spotted walking together in London and later stepped out as a couple at the GQ Men of the Year Awards that November.

Since then, they have mostly dated out of the spotlight, aside from an occasional post on social media.

Though Edgar-Jones hasn’t publicly talked about their relationship, she has addressed having her dating life in the spotlight, notably being linked to her famous costars like Glen Powell and Paul Mescal.

“You watch with bemusement really, because it’s interesting to see what narratives people write in,” she told the Sunday Times about dating rumors surrounding her and Mescal, her Normal People costar. “Usually they’re quite harmless and when I’m spotted it’s normally just a lot of, ‘Oh, that’s Whatsherface?’ And I say, ‘It is.’”

Seed describes himself as a “photographer, director and artist” on his Instagram profile and has worked for a number of big brands including Prada, Bulgari and Dior. Additionally, he has photographed some big names, with his social media showcasing portraits of Andrew Scott, Priyanka Chopra, Nicola Coughlan and more.

Yes, he’s even photographed Edgar-Jones, showing off the black and white images he captured in October 2023, which he captioned with a white heart at the time.

Though they never confirmed their relationship at the time, Seed regularly photographed the Furiosa actress from 2019 to 2022, often captioning the images with heart emojis. The two seemingly split sometime in 2021; Taylor-Joy later confirmed her relationship with Malcolm McRae, who she went on to marry in April 2022.

Seed and Edgar-Jones first sparked dating rumors in the fall of 2023, when they were seen cuddling during a stroll in London, in photos obtained by The Daily Mail. At one point, the actress wrapped her arms around Seed, while he gave her a kiss on the head. At the time, it was reported that they had been seeing each other for a few months.

Following their PDA outing in September 2023, the couple went public with their romance as they attended the GQ Men of the Year Awards on Nov. 15.

A few months later, they attended the EE BAFTA Film Awards in Februray 2024, where they posed for photographers inside the Royal Festival Hall. After the event, the two were by each other’s side as they attended Netflix’s afterparty at Chiltern Firehouse in London.

While they had already attended a few public events together, Edgar-Jones didn’t go “Instagram official” with their relationship until July when they attended the Glastonbury Festival. In a gallery of photos, including one of her embracing her Normal People costar Paul Mescal, she shared a photo of her and Seed walking alongside each other, tagging him in the post.
