PinkPantheress listens to music however she wants.

In an interview with Kids Take Over on Wednesday, July 17, the "Angel" singer, 23, revealed she has a very specific way she listens to music.

“I don’t listen to albums," Pink Pantheress told host Arshan Jawaid. "I just listen to songs."

She continued: "That’s why when it came to my own album, I was like, do people care about tracklisting? I couldn’t believe it. When I saw people review my album, some people were like, ‘It’s a great album, but the tracklisting doesn’t make sense.’ I’m like, just listen to the songs.”

After the video was released, PinkPantheress clarified her comments on X (formerly known as Twitter).

"all that to say; there is no right or wrong way to consume or make music," she wrote. "it’s people trying to say there is that stops people from enjoying + creating art in whichever form they want."

PinkPantheress added: "who cares if i listen to albums in full lol. it’s music, it’s meant to be unique to everyone."

She also addressed her next album, describing it as "more colorful."

"I think my music you would put in the grey color wheel if I had to give -

it a color. I feel like I want it to be more colorful," Pink Pantheress explained.

In May, the "Boy's a Liar" artist even commented on the brevity of her own songs in an interview with ABC News.

“I was able to experiment and making short songs was just a result of me experimenting,” Pink Pantheress said. “A song doesn’t need to be longer than two minutes 30, in my opinion. We don’t need to repeat a verse, we don’t need to have a bridge, we don’t need it. We don’t need a long outro.”

The alt-pop musician released her debut album Heaven Knows in November 2023 and also revealed she thought one of her biggest hits, which reached No. 1 on theBillboardcharts — "Boy's a Liar"— is "crap."

“I didn’t expect it to be my biggest song,” PinkPantheress said of "Boy's a Liar" inan interview withThe Guardian. “I thought on an internet level it was going to be big. I didn’t expect it to be big on the radio.”

When asked what she thought of the track and its remix, which featuresIce Spice, she described them as "crap," adding, "The songs that are not my greatest are the ones that do better.”
