Adelehas nothing but rave reviews for Sabrina Carpenter!

In a video captured by the British singer's fans as she performed at her residency in Las Vegas, Adele took a moment to reflect on one of her new favorite songs — and how she's coped with her break from performing due to a stint on vocal rest.

During a pause in her performance on Saturday, May 18, Adele, 36, chatted directly to the crowd at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace about how switching back to Las Vegas' time zone after her break impacted her body in some rather interesting ways.

"I nearly pissed myself because my whole body clock was out of sync," she told the audience, to lots of laughs. "So being on stage at 11:30, I was desperate for a pee. But I'm always, you know, going back to the hotel, in the hotel, whatever, by, sort of like, 11:10 at the latest. And then I have to warm my voice down, then I have a steam shower and things like that."

"As I got into bed last night — 'cause that's a very late night for me, normally I'm in bed by 9 p.m. — I found myself singing, 'I'm working late, 'cause I'm a singer,' " she continued, singing the words to the chart-topping song "Espresso." "That Sabrina Carpenter song! 'I can't relate to desperation.' That song is my jam!"

The "Easy on Me" singer had high praise for "Espresso" — which Carpenter performed on Saturday Night Live the same night that Adele was discussing it onstage — and also joked that it was released when she was on vocal rest, meaning she couldn't sing along to it on the radio.

"It came out and I couldn't talk!" Adele recalled to the audience. "It came out when I couldn't talk or sing, so since my voice has come back, all last night and this morning that's what I've been singing."

Before delving back into her performance, the singer joked that she would be sleeping late rather than "working late" — a play on Carpenter's lyrics.

"From tomorrow, it will be like, 'I'm sleeping late 'cause I'm a singer,' because that's what I'm gonna do tomorrow," she said.

Adele is wrapping up her final set of dates at the Colosseum, and will conclude her Weekends With Adele residency officially on June 15. She began her performances back in November 2022, and has taken several short-term breaks — including going on vocal rest in February 2024. At the time, she told fans that she had gotten sick and needed to rest her voice to be able to finish out her residency schedule.

During her first performance, Carpenter sang "Espresso,"which has spent the last month in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart — on a bar-themed set. For her second performance, she did amedley of her tracks "Feather" and "Nonsense"and celebrated her first time onthe showwith her traditional change in lyrics.
