It's "times like these" that concerts need to be cut short.

On Wednesday, July 17, Foo Fighters ended their show at Citi Field in New York early due to inclement weather.

"We are so disappointed that we were unable to play our full set for tonight’s fantastic crowd at Citi Field,” the rock group wrote in a statement on X.

Foo Fighters continued: “But the safety of our fans, the crew and everyone working in the stadium comes first, so when it was determined that there was no safe way to continue the show in this dangerous weather, we had no choice but to call it a night.”

"We're grateful for every second we were able to play for you and looking forward to seeing you again — maybe as soon as Friday!" they concluded.

Last night, Citi Field also shared a message announcing that “unfortunately due to the continued presence of lightning in the area, tonight’s show has concluded. Please exit the venue and have a safe night.”

According to Setlist.fm, the rockers only made it through 13 full songs out of what is typically a 20-track setlist. Foo Fighters only played the intro of "Everlong" before the show halted, per the site.

In fan-captured footage, before playing “Learn to Fly,” Dave Grohl can be heard telling the crowd “there’s some lightning and s--- like that,” before adding that the Foos will play “as much as we can until someone says it’s not safe for you.”

In another clip posted to X, the frontman, 55, can be heard telling the audience they're going to do "one more" song.

"We’re gonna do one more, we’re gonna wait this f---ing’ s--- out… if we can come back you f---ing know we will, right?” Grohl told his fans before launching into "Everlong."

As the band is in the midst of their Everything or Nothing At All tour, the band is set to return to Citi Field again on Friday, July 19.

Following that gig, Foo Fighters are set to head to to Boston’s Fenway Park on Sunday, July 21, Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey, Pa. on Tuesday, July 23 and Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati on Thursday, July 25.
