Mamie Laverock’s family has shut down her GoFundMe page two months after the When Calls the Heart actress experienced a “medical emergency.”

An update on the GoFundMe page posted on Wednesday, July 17, by Laverock's mom, Nicole Rockmann, and her stepdad, Rob Compton, included a message that appeared to be from the actress herself, in which she wrote of her "gratitude" to those who had contributed to the fund.

"Thank you so much. I don't even know what to say. My heart is full," the message from the 20-year-old read.

"Thank you again. I have no words to describe my gratitude. Love you guys. Thank you," she continued, signing off with, "MAMIE."

Rockmann and Compton also thanked fans and noted the family’s decision to end the fundraising effort on social media.

"The Fund has now closed. Please know how much you helped this family in our hardest circumstances. Thank you for caring. Warmth, Nicole and Rob," they wrote in the July 17 update on the online fundraiser, which reached $39,022 of its $30,000 goal (in Canadian dollars).

The decision comes after the actress — who fell five stories from a hospital balcony in Canada in May — celebrated her 20th birthday on July 8.

"Mamie moved onto her stomach, pushed herself up and held onto me ... at that moment we realized we could have our first hug," read the post, which was written alongside a photo of the July 9 hug in the actress' hospital room.

"It's a miracle," Rockmann told PEOPLE of the moment she and her daughter were able to share a hug.

Rockmann also shared some details of her daughter's recovery on Laverock's Facebook on June 26.

“Thank you for your healing messages for Mamie,” she began the post. “Mamie survived her injuries, however her road to recovery will be long. I will be setting up a mailbox for all of your cards and well wishes shortly.”

The family had previously shared updates about Laverock's recovery on the G -

oFundMe page, which was created after the actress was taken to a Winnipeg hospital due to a “medical emergency” on May 11. She was then transferred to a hospital in Vancouver.

They later revealed that Laverock had been in intensive treatment for two weeks in the Canadian city after she "was escorted out of a secure unit of the hospital and taken up to a balcony walkway from which she fell five stories" on May 26.

"She sustained life-threatening injuries, has undergone multiple extensive surgeries, and is currently on life support," the post read. "We are all devastated, in shock, at this intensely difficult time."

In a further update, the family then said Laverock's body had "been shattered" in the incident.

"She has undergone two 11 hour surgeries with two doctors working on her, a three hour surgery and another surgery today. We have nothing but gratitude for the doctors and nurses who have been exemplary in her care since May 26," a message read.

"Mamie is 'doing well' comparatively to when she arrived. Doing well because she has survived these extensive surgeries. She is enduring tremendous pain and continues to not give up," the post added.

"We can only hold onto the miracles of each day and continue to thank everyone for their prayers and marvel at the miracles of her story. Our daughter loves her life and loves her family and is fighting hard everyday," the update concluded.

Laverock starred as Rosaleen Sullivan in nine episodes of When Calls the Heart from 2014-2023. Prior to her stint on the Hallmark Channel, Laverock had her first professional role in 2012’s This Means War starring Reese Witherspoon, Chris Pine and Tom Hardy.
