Kyle Richards is celebrating her sobriety.

On Thursday, July 18, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 55, marked a special occasion two years in the making.

“This week was my 2 year anniversary of being alcohol free (July 15th) I can remember a time when the idea of going 2 weeks seemed impossible,” Richards wrote on Instagram.

“I’m proud of the fact that I’ve had the willpower to stay on this path,” Richards added in her post. The picture showed the Bravo talent taking a mirror selfie as she showed off her toned body.

She flexed her bicep while wearing a black two-piece workout set while standing in front of dumbells and gym equipment.

“I know many people would love for me to start drinking again. Even friends with the best of intentions. Everyone loved ‘Party Kyle.’ I think that was the hardest part of all of this. The resistance from others,” she explained.

Richards referred to her past self as a “people pleaser,” and mentioned the lack of “encouragement” she got early on.

Still reflecting on her days of wild partying, the reality star admitted “I may still drop a split here and there,” before switching to a more serious tune.

“My mental and physical health became a lot more important to me than feeling like I had to be ‘on’ at a party or social setting,” her lengthy caption continued. Richards added that looking better when she wasn’t drinking alcohol was a great incentive to keep going.

While Richards didn’t go into detail about the “difficult times,” her post comes just days after her estranged husband Mauricio Umansky was photographed kissing a mystery woman at the airport in Mykonos, Greece on Tuesday, July 16.

The moment came one year after PEOPLE confirmed the Buying Beverly Hills star, 54, and Richards had separated after 27 years of marriage.

The former couple are parents to daughters Alexia, 28, Sophia, 24, and Portia, 16. Richards is also mom to daughter Farrah Brittany, 35, from her previous marriage with Guraish Aldjufrie.

During a May 14 episode of the Bitch Bible podcast, the Halloween actress confirmed that Umansky moved out of their shared home and into a place in West Hollywood.

“I always knew when that day came it would feel strange. Very real all of a sudden. And that’s exactly what happened,” she said. “I’m used to having a lot of chaos and stuff going around at my house. The day that he moved out was just strange because I came home and I was like, 'Everything's so quiet.' ”

As for Richards’ newfound healthier lifestyle, she concluded Thursday's post: “I prefer to see people and situations just as they are. AND without the hangxiety.”
