A Michigan father is dead and his three sons and wife injured following a car crash on Sunday afternoon, June 30.

Dan Savage was driving four of his family members when their sedan was hit by a pickup truck at the intersection of 136th Avenue and 58th Street in Fillmore Township, reports WWMT, WOOD-TV, and The Holland Sentinel.

According to the outlets, a preliminary investigation by the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office showed that Savage, who was driving west, failed to make a stop.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and his wife and sons were transported to the hospital with injuries. The pickup truck driver was not injured, per the outlets. PEOPLE has reached out to the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office for comment.

MLive.com reports that Savage's three sons are Mason, 14, Parker, 11, and Levi, 9.

"They just had a vacation to Disney a few weeks ago, and it was a family outing they were going on when this happened. Everything was about family for them," Savage's aunt, Tina Josten, told the media group.

Joe Josten, Savage's cousin, created a GoFundMe campaign for the f -

amily, revealing that Mason and Parker both "sustained devastating head injuries." Mason's prognosis was described as "poor," and Parker's condition as "unclear."

Savage's wife, Chelsea, and Levi's injuries are "less severe" but still require medication attention, per Joe.

"This is an incredibly shocking and heartbreaking tragedy for everyone involved," Joe wrote. "We are seeking donations to support the family during these uncertain times, helping with funeral costs, medical expenses, and any ongoing care the children are going to need."

Joe provided an update on the campaign on Tuesday, July 2, sharing that "Chelsea and Levi have both been able to speak with family but are very banged up."

"Parker has a traumatic brain injury, and his prognosis remains unclear at this time. Unfortunately, Mason's prognosis remains poor," the update continued.
