'All Driven by Her': Nicole Kidman Says Daughter Sunday Rose’s Runway Debut for Miu Miu was a 'Good Match'

Nicole Kidman will always be proud of her baby girl.

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter in a new interview published on Dec. 4, the actress looked back on her 16-year-old daughter Sunday Rose’s runway debut in the Miu Miu spring/summer 2025 fashion show on Oct. 1.

“That’s all driven by her. Me going, ‘Oh no, I don’t think so,’ ” Kidman, 57, recalled of her teen’s big sartorial moment during Paris Fashion Week.

Sunday made waves in a sleeveless white dress layered over a swimsuit and paired with black knee-high socks and pumps. 

The Babygirl star said that Miuccia Prada, Miu Miu’s founder and creative director, “just loved” Sunday and wanted her to partake in the show, which also saw catwalk appearances from Willem Dafoe, Alexa Chung, Cara Delevingne and Hilary Swank.

“Miuccia is so powerful as a woman. So that was a good match,” Kidman said, adding that she's had a longstanding relationship with the designer since she was 23. “I’ve been in this industry for a while.”

couple also share daughter Faith, 13), opened up to Vogue about her “exciting” foray into the fashion world.

"I've been wanting to do this for so long so when the offer came through it was really exciting," she told the outlet in a behind-the-scenes TikTok video posted on Oct. 3. "And now the day's finally here."

As far as advice for fellow newcomers, she encouraged: "Probably just, like, don't stress yourself out too much, 'cause I was really stressed. And then it's just like, everyone here is really nice."

Her country superstar dad, 57, was also filled with pride, which he expressed after Sunday’s interview with Vogue went viral, particularly because it revealed her Southern-meets-Australian accent.

"It was great. I thought she did great,” he told Entertainment Tonight in an Oct. 24 interview.

Sunday previously attended a couple of stylish events with her mom, including the Jul. 29 OMEGA Her Time event, where the two coordinated in chic looks, and the AFI Lifetime Achievement Award Gala on April 27.
